The Scanning Project

Over the Easter holidays my mom and dad did a scanning project. They did it at an office nearby the hotels by Seven Mile beach. They had to buy two scanners and two computer monitors and two PC's. The scanning project lasted three weeks and they finished it on April 29th. A scanner takes pictures of documents and puts it on the computer.

People scan documents so that they don't have papers piled up on their desk. They can just go on their computer and see the documents. It also makes documents portable and easy to carry. You can email the documents to other people so you don' t have to give them a piles of papers. You can put your documents on DVD's and it is backup in case a hurricane comes and washes away your documents.

While my parents were scanning, taking staples out of documents and stamping documents, I was under the desk watching movies on my laptop and read books and doing some school work. We had a family celebration when we had the project done.
